Some of my favourites.
By Lamps Plus - I love the shape of this one |
Home Decoraors Collection - This is of course similar to the one used in the Mel's (Georgica Pond) gorgeous perfect kitchen |

I really considered this one as this is available at various places in Australia but decided the conical shape wasn't quite right |
I checked back over my favourite pics and one type of light kept popping up. It has been done in so many kitchens on Houzz but I think they give just the right type of look for my kitchen and they were the right price (on sale) so that won me over as well. Bit scary buying stuff that you have only seen over the internet in pictures but we think the size should be okay.
We bought three of the Schots Parisian Pendant lights in the brushed nickel but I think the Chrome would have been nice too.

Linda Mcdougald Design - I hope they look a little like this, wish I had the kitchen coming too. |
My lovely hard working husband organised to have these sent from Melbourne through a courier through his work. This is the second time he has organised special lighting for the house, the other one I will do another post on as it is my most favourite thing of all for this new house, although there has been some dramas about the size of it.

Great choice, Tash! I've heard excellent things from friends about Schots' lights. I hope you love them as much as they do.

Thankyou, I'm hoping they will fit in as it took ages to decide and glad to hear info that they work nicely too.
DeleteThese look amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI have been looking everywhere for lights like the ones you have bought...
Stop looking! Haha, these ones are available from Schots in Melbourne and while it says online that they won't post them they actually will if you organise a courier. I found them to be reasonably priced too considering the prices in Australia I have seen for others.
DeleteOh they look stunning Tash! How exciting! I'm currently in a bother over dining table lighting. The glass conical lights were an idea but perhaps too casual for the only dining area? Wish we had more choices too.... I'll look forward to seeing yours up! x KL
ReplyDeleteThankyou! Aaah lighting over the dining area I hear your bother as I am not sure what I will do there. Yes more choices would make it so much easier on us. I would love to be able to see an image on Houzz then pop out and purchase items from image knowing how they look in advance but alas it seems mostly American.

Hi Tash.. I've been following you on the homeone forum and this blog. Your taste is almost 100% identical to mine. I am a LONG TIME lurker on the forums and blogs but never posted until I saw these lamps. I thought these are the GORGEOUSESSSTTT things ever and I must let you know. I loveee the way your house is turning up. Also, I am somehow not getting my homeone account to work at all, which has also been a big deterrent in my being passive. It doesn't let me post on any forum or search or do anything. I've sent a message to the administrators but never heard from them. So, I'm finally giving up. I'll comment on the blog though :D
ReplyDeleteHi Amy, how annoying that your Homeone account is not working! Maybe bombard them with messages and they will have to fix it for you haha. Thanks for following along.
