Last minute change of heart

Aargh why do I do this? I am having second thoughts about deciding to go with a rangehood, I think I should have done an undermount and just went cupboards all the way across. It would have looked simpler and cleaner. I still love ranghoods but just looking at my kitchen today I just now think it's not a huge kitchen and I think it will just look too overwhelming for the space. I like things to be simple and this last minute regret is really throwing me. Other than ripping out the top cabinets again (not likely) it looks like I will just have to go with it now, totally my own fault. Talk about an eleventh hour decision. Worst comes to worst I will see if we can just leave of the ranghood and install later after I have decided.

Stay tuned.....

    1. Hi Elisa, I have seen Katrina's kitchen and it is certainly stunning. Her range is certainly very close to what I am thinking but I am wanting something simple like Mel's from Georgica Pond if I don't decide to do a stainless range.

  2. Don't get too discouraged, sometimes you just need to get used to something. When we first put the kitchen in I thought i had chosen the wrong colour for the cabinets, i thought they were too white, now they look great. There is a kitchen in the back of this months house and garden that has a small kitchen and a range hood, looks stunning. Your kitchen is looking lovely, can't wait to see it all finished.

    1. Ooh thanks for that Mekaela I will check that out. Americans do the best ranges I think after looking on Houzz. I am still undecided as changing our minds now means more money and an unfinished kitchen at handover if go through with it. Aaaah, just a simple suburban mum here trying to wade her way through all this with no interior know how at all.

  4. Hi Natasha!

Your house is looking amazing. I hope you don't mind me asking but I am interested in how you are getting such a kitchen with M homes... we are looking at building with P!antation homes which I imagine are similar, but I desperately want a shaker style kitchen and am not sure if that is possible with them. Are you doing your lovely kitchen through some kind of M homes upgrade or did you ask M homes to leave that part and somehow contracted another kitchen comnpany to do it?? I hope you don't mind the question!

    Thanks,
    Emily

  5. Hi Emily, don't mind at all. Perhaps send me your email address to mine

I can give a more detailed answer that way as it would be too long to comment here but yes we did it all through M. I'm no expert on this type of kitchen but I do know how difficult it has been to do it through a project builder.
Happy to help anyone else who is doing the project builder route and wanting a similar kitchen.
